Web developers at Glynn provide onsite support of web operation and maintenance, developing, testing, and maintaining websites and web pages, implementing, maintaining, and training support for web content management, web quality management, portal software, web monitoring and configuration tools, Google search appliance, and eService software. They are responsible for the installation of web-based applications and connectivity to an enterprise database. They have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
Senior Web Developer / Technical Lead
Glynn Technologies, a division of Glynn Interactive, is looking for a Senior Web Developer/ Technical Lead to join our growing business. We are looking for an individual who can lead our technical approach to front-end technical design and back-end content management and Web database development. Must be US citizen.
Job Description
Responsible for the web content management effort on a government site in Washington DC. Point person to the government technical project officer for all technical design and backend strategy
This leadership position requires strong Web and software development skills, technical savvy, great attention to detail, and proven expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated portfolio of work and successful track record of team leadership is essential. This position includes both high-level design as well as hands-on development.
- Understands technical and functional design requirements.
- Assists in physical and logical database design.
- Creates prototypes for client engagements.
- Designs, codes, and tests technical solutions.
- Identifies system deficiencies and recommends solutions.
Required Skills:
- Programming experience with HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, ColdFusion, ASP, AJAX, XML/XSL or equivalent
- SQL or other database environment
- Technical Requirements documentation
- Software Development Life Cycle approach
- Experience with source control systems and bug management, or other similar enterprise tools a plus
Desired Skills:
- Percussion Rhythmx, BEA AquaLogic
Education:
- Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent, Masters degree a plus
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience including Web, database and other software development proficiency
