Section 508 at a University
Clemson University has chosen to implement HiSoftware's AccVerify, AccRepair and Hi-Caption Studio for the creation and management of Web Accessibility standards across their website. Carla Rathbone explained that "making sure that our Web content is accessible is very important us. Prior to implementing HiSoftware's solutions we were testing for accessibility issues manually, one page at a time. Now, sites with minimal accessibility issues can be fixed by the content owner. This gives the support and development team more time to focus on sites that are more complex as well as portal applications." Clemson's university-wide Accessibility project is aimed at addressing Section 508 Accessibility guidelines for website content mandated by the state of South Carolina.
