Enterprise Application Architecture Careers
Glynn's enterprise application architects are responsible for overall alignment of business and technical architecture for the enterprise. They work with other architects in providing a vision for leveraging technology to organization goals. They define high-level, enterprise-wide architecture focusing on alignment of the technology capabilities to business vision. They contribute to and communicate strategic planning efforts regarding the IT supported systems, and they lead multiple project and operational teams in architecture definition, software and hardware selection, and configurations.
Enterprise application architects are able to assess application development environments and identify the necessary steps to evolve it to the target web based service oriented architecture in accordance with the industry and OMB Federal Enterprise Architecture directions. They conduct agency wide discovery processes to assess the current environment and then lead groups into the details of how to evolve this environment to the target web based service oriented architecture.
